Hello all,
Some advise please on the details below.
About two weeks after contact with a girl I noticed a slight cut and bleeding (infinitesimally small amount) in the penis, just below the head of the penis in the flat area. It then subsequently was oozing some liquid - small amounts. After about 4 days of noticing this I showed it to a local doctor. On a physical exam he diagnosed genital herpes and took a swab (results still awaited). The doctor also put me on Valaciclovir tablets twice daily for 5 days. When I showed the doctor I did notice that there is a like a single yellow blister, although it is generally reddish and that immediate area was slightly painful.
Can I please ask you the following:
In less than 24 hours of being on the Valaciclovir the slight cut has healed up pretty much and there is no liquid oozing, although that area is a little bit painful still. As far as I can tell at the moment it is not forming a scab. As far as I am aware this is my first herpes attack and I did not have fever, nausea, initial tingling prior to getting the cut/blister, no pain during urination and no penis discharge.
What I am wandering is whether this is indeed herpes from your perspective of my description or could this be something else. I did not expect the Valaciclovir to be effective in less than 24 hours, no scabbing etc etc.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Ruchi
