Herpes or Rash???

Hi, I'm a 23 year old male and I'm unsure if I have herpes or just a skin rash.  The last time a had sex was a little over 2 months ago, I used a condom. So that was over 60 days ago, but just 6 days ago I woke up during the night with a serious itch on my inner right thigh. When I looked I noticed 2 small bumps on my skin, kind of looked like a mozzy bite, but I continued 2 scratch it and it turned into 2 perfectly round in shape, sores. They are almost healed now, and are a bit bigger than a shirt button in size and shape. However, 2 days ago the skin on my scrotum which was in contact with the sores on my inner thigh started to itch and sting and yesterday I noticed small blisters on that same area. I don't have any blisters anywhere else. This is the first time I have got these sores.  Is this herpes? A rash? Shingles??? Any help would really be appreciated. Thanks

if you are concerned, return to be seen again.

Hi Grace,

So the sores have 99% healed and the pink skin that was under the scab from the sore is slowly regaining its normal colour. However I have 3 tiny, skin coloured, pimples on the healed inner thigh sores, other than that the bacterial infection seems to be practically gone. Should I be concerned with these 3 pimples??

Thanks

Hi grace, just wanted 2 let u know that i have been to the doc and he told me that what i have is a fungi infection that turned into a bacterial infection due 2 me scratching it the infected area, hence the perfectly round shape of the sores. Its almost perfectly healed now and the treatment i was given has really worked wonders. Iv been on d medication for 3 full days now. He prescribed me an antibiotic and 2 other tabs, 1 of which i have 2 take with milk, as well as i cream for the infected areas. As it is almost summer here, he says these infections r common in moist environments.

you could be together with a partner for 20 years or more and they would never contract herpes. Taking precautions would keep the risk very low in general.  A partner is more likely to get pregnant while using the bc pill than they are to get herpes when you are aware of your infection and taking daily suppressive therapy and avoiding sex during obvious symptoms.

My apologies about that post you had to remove. I am new here and I will learn the rules. Thank you for all the advice so far, I have made an appointment to get tested. If its ok with you I just hav 1 final question...

If I meet someone and then say 3 years down the line we decide to get married..does that mean that my partner will definitely get herpes(if my test comes back positive)?  Or are there safe practices that we'd be able 2 follow. I just hope I don't live to regret the 1 night I had sex, even though I used protection.

Thanks for everything Grace.
Take care

I removed your other post since it was the same. our read before posting post is located under the important announcements tab and contains the rules of posting here if you haven't read it yet :)

most people never realize they have herpes. You could go a lifetime without realizing you had it even. that is why going to be seen as soon as possible is always in your best interest :)

you would need to be seen and get a proper exam to find out what is going on. we'd just be totally guessing here.
