Herpes from Saliva

My question is regarding the transmission of Herpes II via Salvia.   I had a massage worker give me a hand job and saw her use saliva for lubrication for her hand.    Can it be transmitted this way.  Thank you.

Thank you for your rely.   I recently received a positive test for hsv 2 not hsv1  and I am trying to make sense of it.  The only activity was this.  The test result was high which caused me to think it was recent based on what I had read on this site.  It was greater than 3.5.   I recently had an outbreak of Shingles and I am not sure if this had anything to do with it.   Thank you for you help.

have you ever been tested for herpes to know your status?  have you ever had cold sores before?

herpes is poorly transmitted through saliva. not likely at all that you contracted hsv1 genitally from this.  if you don't have any symptoms within 1-2 weeks, you know you didn't contract it.

saliva in general is a poor lube. it also contributes to fungal/yeast infections in both males and females. always best to have a good sex lube. if you frequent this establishment again, ask for real sex lube, no saliva or massage oil :)
