I looked down there with a mirror and could only see them if I took a picture relatively up close
I called the doctor numerous times when I got my blood work back and they said im in the clear. And im going to be honest. Could not washing my anal area cause these symtoms. Ever since Ive started this I haven't washed it.im so scared to touch down there I wash my hands when i do clean my vaginal area because I don't want to spread way I have.
I'm on my period and I can't get a swab. I noticed a bunch of white bumps at the opening. I didn't take a bath last night. I touched them didn't hurt I also peed and noticed nothing. I probably wouldn't have noticed them if I didn't look. If its not hsv then why do I keep having things go wrong down there. I just want to have my life back. I look down there because I'm afraid I won't notice them. Im in love and im so scared of having sex because what if I do have it and I give it to him. Should I just stop looking is that the source of my problems?
However, Uggh1, since you have revealed that you had a PCR DNA test, I'll affirm that it is the most sensitive and accurate of the HSV swab tests. If it showed your lesion was negative, you can trust that it's true. Here's the testing page at ASHA's Herpes Resource Center:

If you continue to be worried, some folks test for STDs once every year, which seems a reasonable thing to do.
As for your red circle, it doesn't sound like herpes, but show it to your gynecologist and tell her your fear. She could help you determine what it is.
The reason to get the Western Blot is that she is not comfortable simply believing someone's insistence that she's fine, and she has expressed this. The WB delivers facts from a reliable source.
Unfortunately we cannot help what an individual chooses to believe, but we will give you all the facts you need.
I don't agree that you should consider a Westernblot. Your testing already confirms that you have oral HSV1 and you've had oral cold sores before. IgG testing for HSV2 is very accurate and will not be overturned by the Westernblot.
I am not sure where you get the idea herpes is the easiest STD to catch, it is actually amongst the most difficult. Transmission rates are 1 in thousands of sexual episodes whereas bacterial STIs transmit about 1 in 3 episodes.
I think you have identified your issue. Your reading of genital herpes stories on the internet has skewed your perspective of true symptoms and transmission chances.
And fleetwood. I just find It hard to believe with It being the easiest std to catch
It was a year ago and im pretty sure I heard her say pcr when she swab it
Hi Ughh1 - take a deep breath, honey. How long ago did you have your tests? Did you get a swab done because you had some kind of active lesion?
If it's been more than 4 months since you had the tests, the most definitive thing you can do is to ask your doctor to order the Western Blot from the University of Washington - it's the gold standard of HSV tests and more than 99% accurate. Also, the next time you have a suspicious physical symptom, you should have it swabbed specifically for a PCR DNA test - make sure it's this test. Trust the results and move forward!
There is no reason to suspect you have genital herpes, there is all available evidence to contrary.
You can accept that right? If not why not?
