GHSV 1 Question

Hi I just have a quick question that I hope someone can help me with...

I have genital HSV 1... (Diagnosed by swab and IGG) ... I guess my situation is not typical with what everyone says about GHSV 1 because my symptoms are NOT mild and I have constant out breaks one after another...I break out all around my genital area (thighs and groin) but never on my actual genitals... my question is this:  Transmission of GHSV 1 from genital to genital is supposed to be rare...however I have been having constant outbreaks one after the other for the last 2.5 months, does this mean I am constantly contagious?

Hi...Thank you for the response...this is where my situation becomes a bit tricky...my sores are not typical...I do not actually blister up and there is never any fluid involved...my lesions look more like little clustered rashes...so would they be contagious just by contact alone even though they don't pop or open up?

Hi and with outbreaks a person would be contagious as means the virus is on the surface. Its acually in the blisters and when popped open is when it can be spread.
You should talk to your doctor about supressive  and anitviral medications. They will help the sore to heal faster as well as inhibit the herpes.
