I was diagnosed about 4 yrs ago with HSV2 (positive swab for vaginal and blood test), however since then I get outbreaks (about every two-three months)of tiny blisters on my nose! My nose has been swabbed 3/4 times and it comes back negative for herpes 1 and 2. I also have small obs vaginally (also every 2/3 months) but when swabbed for HSV 2 and 1 it comes back negative. Gyn then told me to see rheumatologist for possible Bechets, but they said its not Bechets (no other symptoms)
Fast forward i had OB on nose 3/4 weeks ago and my dermatologist swabbed it and it came back negative for HSV2 and negative for anything bacterial. Fast forward again and this week i have OB on my nose (thank god for glasses) and my dermatologist sent me for blood test since i was having active OB and she also swabbed area again. Blood Results are in and my IGG test HSV2 is 13.40 and negative >.91 for HSV1.
Suppressive therapy has not worked at all (was taking 1000 mg at one point) and I'm pretty much going crazy trying to figure out how to suppress this and I don't understand why it's on my nose! Do I need western blot? Why are swabs of leaking blisters negative? I'm going crazy please help anyone.
