Herpes or friction blister?

Hello, I am a 19 year old female and recently found a blister "down there". As far as I know all of my sexual partners are STD free and have never had any symptoms of herpes. However, I had very rough sex with my roommate and found a blister-like bump two days after the sex. I do have very sensitive skin, and the bump resembles a friction blister. Is it possible that this blister is just from the sex and not herpes? This is the first time anything like this has shown up, but it was also the roughest sex I've ever had. Since finding the blister sex is kind of painful. Is it possible that I could also have some vaginal tearing in addition to the blister? I plan to go in and get tested in the upcoming week, just to be safe.

I have had blood tests and STD tests before. Unfortunately, I don't have a doctor at my current location seeing as I am away at college. It wouldn't surprise me if I received this bump from oral. I'm not even positive that its a blister, but as most people do, I over analyzed it and freaked myself out. I'm planning to go to the instacare as soon as possible so I can find out what's going on with me and can take care of it.
I'm not sure what the doctor will say about it though, because its not an open sore, nor does it look like a blister.
Thanks for the advice!!

waiting to be seen next week is too late. It's best to be seen within 48 hours of the appearance of your symptoms.

have you and your partner ever been tested for herpes before? It's not a part of routine std testing so odds are you haven't been.

as bobrope so rightly already pointed out - blisters aren't normal and certainly suspicious for herpes. since 1 out of every 3 people in your age group has hsv1, you also can contract hsv1 genitally from receiving oral sex even if your partner didn't have an obvious cold sore at the time of performing oral on you.

Friction blisters are not common "down there". You should be seen by a doctor as soon as possible, so he/she can tell you exactly what's going on. If they believe it's herpes, they can swab it and you'll have a prompt answer. If you wait too much, you won't get an answer anytime soon and will end up spending more money on blood tests.

Have you talked about STDs with your partner?

If you doctor can't see you right away, ask for the closest Planned Parenthood.
