Does I have HSV2??

Hi everyone,
I need your help, I made a huge mistake and I am in a state of panic. Not only did I chestnut on my wife in a drunken/drugged state during my best friend's bachelor party, the condom broke and I cannot be sure how long we were doing it with no protection.
On Sunday 6 days ago, this event occurred. 12 hours later, I started feeling a burn around the head of my penis and on the foreskin. I went to see s doctor who told me to do an std test (all came back negative, but it was way too early), and gave me topical cream in case it was a yeast infection. On Friday, 5 days after the event, the burning moved up to my urethra, and it is now swollen and the burn comes and goes. Aside from the burning, I have no other symptoms. No headaches, fever, no itching, no sores, no red dots,
nothing.
The girl told me she was clean and never had any outbreak of herpes, or any other std. She had a test done last month that came out negative (allegedly). She went to get another test done and will send me the results. I am freaking out, please help me, I made the biggest mistake of my life and I'm paying for it. I just don't tonever infect my wife, and I want to be prepared to tell her what happened.
I'll get a swab Monday, but please give me some Input. Since Friday (yesterday), there has been no new symptoms; just intermittent burning of the urethra and inflammation of the urethra.
Any professional opinion would be great to appreciated, as I am abstaining from sex until I get the results of the swab. Your opinions would be greatly appreciated.

You can feel relatively confident that this is not an STD.  STD's don't appear 12 hours after a sexual encounter.  They usually take 3-5 days to make an appearance.

The irritation could be due to a number of causes - yeast infection, irritation from the sex itself or whatever lubricant you used, or, frankly, it could also be psychosomatic.

It's rare for the burning to "come and go," as you say.  Generally, if you've caught chlamydia or gonorrhea, you'll know it: the symptoms (especially in men) are both obvious and painful.

It's also not uncommon for men who feel guilty about a sexual encounter to convince themselves that they've caught an STD.  So, yes, there's a theoretical possibility that you've caught an STD, but the odds are that you haven't.
