Herpes or something else?

Hi.. I had unprotected sex with a prostitute on Dec 24th. 2 days later or so I noticed small bumps on penis head. I went to a doc 2 weeks after the incident and got blood work done for all STIs. Doctor suggested that it may be herpes and gave azithromycin, flucanazole, pantoprazole and secnadazole. The infections were cured after 3 days and the blood tests came negative. Igg and igm were both negative.

Doctor informed that I don't have herpes since the tests were negative and also if my symptom were due to herpes, they wouldn't subside with the medication used.

Now it's 5 weeks after the incident I am feeling tingling sensation on my penis but no sores or bumps. I am scared to death if it's herpes..or is the diagnosis from the doc true? Thoughts please.

If it is not herpes, what could the small bumps be? My blood work included hiv dna pcr, hsv panel, hiv rapid test, vdrl, tpha, hpv, hbsag. All were nonreactive. Only discrepancy is that my esr is higher than normal. Does it mean something?

As of now at 5 weeks 3 days, I have intermittent tingling sensation in the penis glans and 2 tiny red raised spots - flat, shiny, no pus, not ulcer for the past 1 week. What could these symptoms be? Is it suggestive of a herpes outbreak?

I'm going to get tested again at 6 week mark but I am losing sleep over this. Please help.

Please take a deep breath and try and relax. Your stress and anxiety is manifesting your hyper awareness. Non of what you describe says hsv. I would listen to fleetwood. He is a very knowledgable individual on the subject.

I'm experiencing shooting pain in my penis glans. Though this has been on and off, I feel it now consistently. I don't have any other sores. Can this pain be the symptom of herpes? Heard in some of the posts that pain alone can not be a symptom... Please advise... Any thoughts on how I can relieve from this pain? Please help.

Only you can save yourself from your sins. This is not relevant to a person's status with HSV!

I understand that 12 weeks test is the optimal but it will be reassuring for me to see a negative result in the mean time. Else I am getting so anxious and depressed with the fear.

I really don't know how I can handle if I test positive. It turns my life totally upside down and I don't think I am able to bear even the thought of it. I'm literally beating myself up for my stupidity and sincerely praying to God to save me from my sins.

If i isn't getting better then that essentially proves this isn't herpes.

You must wait for 12 weeks, no point taking a test before then, you'll just seek another one anyway if you have one at 8 weeks.

My blood tests at 6 weeks are negative for herpes but still anxious. Shall wait for a couple of weeks to have a follow up test.

The doctor suggested that the redness could be due to the dryness of the penis head and had suggested usage of Cetaphil...doesn't seem to have gotten better.

These so not sound like herpes symptoms. You should have a repeat IgG test at 12 weeks to confirm.

Follow up with your doctor. This could be a number of things from fungus to bacteria, eczema etc.
