herpes symptoms won't linger like this. continue to be seen regularly to try to figure out what is going on.
Hi grace, just to be sure I did type specific testing for both HSV 1 and 2 and results came back negative. However my doctor says it is herpes as herpes testing in my country (Sri Lanka) is not very reliable. My question is would the acyclovir as suggested by the doc have influenced the negative results.
these aren't herpes symptoms. follow up on them properly with your provider.
Thank you. I have also noticed tiny spots more like blood colored moles/ pimples few on my chest, arms and one on my scrotum. They don't pain, hurt or are filled with pus. I have been getting these one or two in the past, but attracted my attention post this exposure. Could these be serious..
since you are using gum clinics, I assume you are in the uk? you can get type specific testing, you just have to seek it out privately and pay out of pocket. that said, you don't need to think herpes from this. your symptoms don't sound at all like herpes going on. balanitis sounds far more likely and probably from a fungal infection from the sounds of things.
no, acyclovir doesn't act that quickly.
topical steroids tend to make herpes start to go away and then come back with a vengeance. sounds like the cream is working for you and since your symptoms don't sound like herpes, I wouldn't be concerned and would continue using it as directed.
