I'm not sure, she said she was tested and her outbreak was hsv2, i don't know the test, and we're speaking anymore so im not gonna ask her
Thank you for the testing Info, I happened to stumble across it on another post you made earlier, but i'm gonna order one as soon as the funds come in, if I knew it was that easy, rather than sit in a clinic for 4 hours, It woulda been done a while ago
also did your gf get tested for hsv1 too?
grace
you can order up the herpes igg blood test yourself thru www.healthcheckusa.com or www.tstd.org. Both run about $100 for just the hsv1 and hsv2 igg blood tests.
if your neck thing reoccurs, be seen promptly to find out what it is.

also, there is nothing to get checked out cause theres no outbreak currently, or for a while, so I can't just go and get the thing on my neck checked out, cause it doesn't exist anymore lol
They looked at it, it reacted to Valtrex, It looked as close to any pics ive ever seen of herpes, my gf later contracted herpes 2 and was tested and all that cause she has a good doctor and insurance
I went to the same dermo today for some unrealted issues and they told me that such tests dont exist, which I know is complete ********, but thats what they told me, they have no way of finding out what I have unless they culture it, and I have had no outbreaks for a while so I dunno how they expect me to do that.
I am gonna take your advice and seek out a low cost clinic and get full tests, a bad Dermatologist's diagnosis from looking at it for 20 seconds doesn't really help me sleep at night.
Honestly you haven't had any proper testing done at all yet. I'd seek out a clinic that is low cost and at this point get the thing on your neck looked at as well as get a type specific herpes igg blood test done. You don't even really know if you have herpes yet at this point let alone assuming that you have it 2 locations to be honest.

also I had tests from my doc to see if i had like chicken pox antibodies aka shingles, and he did herpes tests but they were inconclusive or "non helpful" his words i think.
he didn't really explain it to me, but he then refered me to the dermo
I first broke out on my buttox, was seen by my doctor(not a skin doctor) who refered me to a dermatologist,
at this point they were crusting as I had been sitting on them for a week or so, lol i guess this maybe made them hard to recognize, so they thought it may be Zoster or shingles or whatever, cause it was on my butt, but then the "head" dermatologist walks in says herpes, gives me valtrex, says come back if it goes away, he isn't too helpful, i think its cause i have no insurance and was paying cash. so it goes away with me not knowing really what I have
i think the Initial outbreak was in august and the one on my neck was november or late october, the same girl (my girlfriend at the time) came back and she gave me a love bite on my neck that eventually turned into something more, feels just as bad as the first outbreak on my butt, like its full blown weeping sores, I call the doc and get another script cause i don't have insurance and i didn't want to pay up the butt (stupid I know) and this one doesn't really go away as easy, aka when i stop the drugs it would come back so id get more drugs until it went away "for good"
No cultures as the first time they kinda gave me the shaft, and the second time i was too stupid to get them cultured,
They don't outbreak at the same time, Yours sounds different because my primary's had multiple sores clustered in an area a bit bigger than a golfball, even the one on my neck
i am so curious to read the answer to this... i have what might possibly be a sore on my neck, and at the same time, itchy symptoms and a tiny, tiny little pimple that went away down south.
so i am curious - did you have your sores cultured on your neck and behind your ear, i had 3 doctors refuse to culture the sore on my neck...
did you have these cultured for herpes?
grace
also I contracted the herpes on my neck a couple months after my initial outbreak on my butt, I got a love bite on my neck that developed into what I originally thought was just an infection but eventually became very recognizable herpes 2 sores.
