herpes test results???
I got tested like 3 weeks ago and i was wondering if i'm positive or not??
here are my test results
HSV 2 IgG, Type Spec 6.78 H. 0.00-0.09 index. final 2
comment: negative 1.09
Note: Negative indicates no antibodies detected to HSV2. Equivocal may suggest early infection. If clinically appropriate, retest at later date. Positive indicates antibodies detected to HSV2; coinfection with HSV1 cannot be excluded without type specific testing.

You can safely become pregnant and not infect your baby following your doctor's advice.
HSV2 cannot in any way become HIV. Theoretically the odds if you are exposed to HIV that you then may become infected are slightly elevated in a person with HSV2. However if you partner does not have HIV you cannot be infected sexually.

yes Acyclovir is the medication I am taking.. and i have another question can herpes be giving when you pregnant because me and my partner are planing to have kids and i am wondering can herpes be transmitted to a baby? and how can herpes turn to HIV because ive heard when you have herpes you can easily get infected with hiv?
HSV2 is its own virus with no association to any other disease.
You need to take the medications your doctor has prescribed through to completion.
Antiviral medicines will help with symptoms, a common medicine is Acyclovir, is this what you have?

I got tested because I thought i had my period but I had my period for 2 weeks I actually was bleeding so I got tested for many things but only this test came positive I got my medicine but after I went to the doctor I had what i think it was an outbreak but it didnt seemed like herpes but sense then i have not got any outbreak and i stoped drinking my medicines is this bad? or should i keep drinking them? the outbreak is gone but i have a boyfriend i been dating him for 2 years and i wonder can herpes be HiV?
Yes this is the appropriate test for HSV2 and the outcome is conclusive as to infection.
