Hi, could someone please tell me how accurate are diasorin herpes tests please? I had one at 6&9 weeks and they came back negative and I've just done one at 11 weeks and 3 days. Would my results at 11 weeks and 3 days be accurate? Thanks
Congrats on your neg tests. I don't see anything changing in the future.

Hi, I asked for my results and they came back as <0.01 for type 1 and <0.05 for type 2. They said my results were the same on both my tests at 6 weeks and 9 weeks. Would I need to do another test at 12 weeks?
Thanks
Terri Warren says blood test IGG at 12 weeks is conclusive for hsv2. I would get one then and if you're still worried order a Western Blot test through the Westover Clinic at 16 weeks to make sure for hsv1.
However, if you're not having symptoms then you should be fine at 12 weeks.
Hi herpes are transmitted from direct contact with a sore right?
This is a great indicator and most likely will not change at twelve weeks. That test and the fact your genitals just touched it's safe to say
You were not at risk here and do not have hsv.

Hi, my results came back negative at 9 weeks. Would that be an accurate result?
Thanks
I've orderd another test now so it will be just over 9 weeks.most sites I have read up on say 6-12 weeks is accurate for the test
Some medical sources say that 16 weeks is enough for most people to seroconvert. However, other reliable sources say that some people take up to a year (!) to produce antibodies. After a year, everyone will have antibodies. It is a torture. Again this are all reliable sources.
8 weeks is a good indicator not 6 like i said above.
I took the test at 6 weeks and a few days.wouldnt that be ok tho?
So I shouldn't believe the test at 6 weeks then?
Hi, 8 weeks would be a better indicator but as a rule 3 month is conclusive but i dont see it changing from 8 to 3 months.
