What are the odds that I could have contracted oral herpes from a "sanitized" pipe?

In the last few weeks my roommate became sick. We smoke together, but once he started getting sick I started lighting the end of the pipe with a lighter. The last time we smoked together was 8/20 and the next day he developed sores on the inside of the mouth. He took a culture test and confirmed that it was Oral Herpes. It has been five days and his symptoms have cleared. I have developed no symptoms at all (fever, swollen gums, sores on the inside of the mouth and the outside of the mouth). I will be getting tested on Monday but I am really scared that I contracted it. What are the odds that I could have contracted it this way despite the "sanitizing" pf the pipe? Thank you.

Still not a concern. We were all taught sharing glasses, utensils....etc can lead to contracing the virus. Truth is there is absolutely no recorded cases of this. You needn't worry about the pipe. You may not get feed back from others but i am the community leader on this hsv forum. If that helps you at all

Your odds are as close to zero as it gets. I wouldn't be the least bit concerned

my only concern is that the lesions appeared the next day. This isn't too much of a concern?
if anyone else has thoughts or could clarify, hearing from more than one person would really hep me calm down. Thanks!
