this was low risk for your partner.
do you treat your herpes?
have you considered daily suppressive therapy?
grace
Thank you for your response. I used to take Acyclovir, but then disconntinued it. I don't take anything for it at the current moment. When I do get an outbreak, they are extremely minor, which I am very thankful for. I've also heard that Niacin works to help suppress them, have you heard this as well?
Britney
no it doesn't help with herpes.
have you and your partner read the free herpes handbook and discussed together what precautions to take? has your partner been tested to know his status?
When I told my partner what I had he was very excepting about it, and I told him that I won't even have sex with him with a condom if I'm having an outbreak. He didn't know that much about it, and he asked me some questions, and I answered them to the best of my abilities. He ended up doing his own research which I think is great also. We use condoms everytime we have sex, and when I'm having an outbreak we don't have any sexual contact until the outbreak has gone away. And he has gotten tested, and doesn't have it, which I am very thankful for. =]
have you reconsidered daily suppressive therapy to help reduce transmission to your partner as well as reduce recurrences so less disruption to your sex life?
Yes, I have thought about it, but I don't medical insurance at the current moment.
you can get suppressive therapy with generic acyclovir for under $20/month even if you don't have insurance. worth looking into if you and your partner are interested.
