i would like your advice or opinion on a particular problem.
i do not have hsv, however, a few weeks ago someone spat water from their mouth on to me in a changing room after a football game. although this was done in jest, unfortunately i was only wearing underwear and the water that they spat ended up on my back and running down through my underwear. ridiculously adolescent.
now a few weeks later, i have developed some itching and swelling around my anus, and whilst i do have a previous history of piles and recent constipation i am somewhat worried that it may be a case of hsv from the saliva in the water spat on me.
my main question is the following, how likely is the hsv virus transmitted through saliva whilst diluted in water?
i am worried that maybe i caught hsv from the saliva spat out however, it would have been diluted in water as well. i have read that the main transmission is through skin on skin transmission and saliva as well. but saliva diluted in water?
the itching is akin to a previous instance of piles, but as i have never had an hsv sore, i am unaware as to how painful or uncomfortable an hsv sore is.
i would really appreciate our opinion on this, i have already taken a blood test for both hsv 1 and 2, the results will come back in a week or so.
i really hope you can help out on this.
