I have oral HSV1. Can I get reinfected from oral sex?

I've gotten cold sores in the past, so I know I have HSV1.  Haven't had an outbreak in about a decade now.  My girlfriend has the same thing -- she gets cold sores, but does not have HSV2 (she's been tested).  Can I somehow get "reinfected" if she gives me oral sex?  I am trying to determine if a small lesion on my penis shaft is a reinfection or if it's something else. It's an oval-shaped minor "lesion" (not sure if this is the right word) -- only a couple of millimeters at its widest point.  It has a smooth, defined "edge" to it.  This edge is very slightly "rounded"/raised.  The actual lesion just looks like red, irritated skin, and the normal/unaffected skin surrounding it is a bit red/inflamed.  It is not painful, there's no burn, etc.

I have had this for 8 days now.  It first appeared after having oral sex -- there was a tear in the skin, and this tear is what is infected. The day after the skin was slightly swollen and a bit painful, both of these went away after about 2 days.  But the site of the tear with this "lesion" is still there.  There is no sign of blistering, and the spot seems to produce an extremely minor discharge as far as I can tell -- it's either clear or maybe slightly white-ish.

I'm not sure what to make of it.  Any ideas?? Thanks.

You should see a doctor FIRST THING if this ever recurs. It is very unusual to be reinfected with the same type genitally if you already have it orally, but nothing is impossible.

That being said, unless this recurs, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Hi, if a person has hsv1 oral and a person has hsv1 oral it can be passed to the genital area, but  the risk is quite low as you have antibodies to help prevent it.

Forgot to mention:

Antifungals did not do anything.  I have been applying Neosporin daily.
