"Apparently" passed on herpes to boyfriend

My boyfriend was recently dignosed with herpes and is currently on medication and due to visit his doctor again tomorrow for a chek-up on how it is going.

Apparently I gave it to him, but the weird thing is that I do not think I have herpes.

Whilst I only recently got over thrush (which I get approximately once a year) I do not have any symptoms relating to herpes, so how could it have been possible to pass it on?

I do not get coldsores but I do sometimes get an ulcer inside my mouth usually on my cheek.

You can have the oral sex once the skin has fully healed and returned to normal.  You need to get tested at this point.

i havent yet been tested. my boyfriend had a swab of the lesions that came back as hsv1+.

all his symptoms have disappeared and the doctor gave him a week for him to resume sex. it has been two weeks and we had sex with a condom, although he was a bit sensitive to the latex.

my question now is when can i actually engage in oral sex with him? is it okay to do so since his sores are no longer present, or should i still wait a while? it has been a week since his sores have disappeared.

you need to be tested to see what your own status is. You need a type specific herpes igg blood test to see what your status is.

talk to your bf about his testing he had done. see if it was a swab of the lesions that came back as hsv1+.

i am not quite sure what testing he had done but the doctor said that it came back as 100% herpes contracted from oral sex.

i have not had any testing done. i have not been anywhere near his privates since his sores have developed.

if i am correct, cold sores are a form of herpes, so perhaps there was one inside my mouth.....i dont really have any other solution :S

what testing did your partner have done?

have you had any testing done yet?

usually it's canker sores inside your mouth like you describe, not oral herpes.

I just found out that the results from the doctor came out as herpes from oral sex. I never get cold sores although sometimes I do get the occasional small sore blister inside my mouth, usually on the side where my cheeks are.
