Herpes

i just found out that i have herpes and i don't know how to tell my boyfriend and I'm scared he will leave me, what should i do or say?

Yes, if he is a reasonable person who has also been sexually active with multiple partners.  The other thing you can say is after you get on birth control, he and you can have all of the unsafe sex you want for the rest of your lives. Neither can re-infect each other. The facts below are from the CDC. Educate him.

Be honest with him and let him know that you didn't know before you two had sex. Also let him know that he could have infected you since 40% of all people don't have any symptoms. Unless he was tested before he ahd sex with you, he could have been the carrier. He should get blood tested regardless and if the result is positive, then he should realize that he could have infected you.

Thank you, this is a lot of help. Do you think he will understand and stay with me and realize its not life threatening and more of an inconvience than a disease?

That can depend on type and location of herpes. How did you find out?

I went to get on birth control and they did blood tests and I came back positive.
