Bumps are not herpes and having 4 weeks of sharp pains all over the genital area are not herpes symptoms either
Any thoughts on my other two questions? I know these questions can be tiresome
8 weeks is good indicator
That's good to hear and I'm sure I'm hyper sensitive at this point waiting on my results but if this were herpes related would the itching and stinging last this long? I do recall one bump that I passed off as a hair bump over a month ago that was before I ever considered herpes I tried to burst it to no avail I'm quite sure it wasn't fluid filled it was located in my upper inner thigh in the crease it was sore for a while but eventually the entire spot must have just opened because a few days later after I checked it there was only a shiny layer of skin where the bump was no scab no sore and there was short hair folicales in the area of the shines new skin that along with the itching all over and headache is really what has me worried.
3 questions - 1. does that bump sound like it could have been a possible lesion?
2. If so would the rest of my symptoms ( the itching and sharp pains all over including the genitals) lasts 4 weeks after lesion is gone?
3. How accurate would my igg test be at 10 weeks?
Thanks
Poping and cracking joints and headaches are not herpes symptoms. You really need to relax.
Someone please help I am freaking out over the possibility that I may be positive I took Igg test on Friday (10 weeks post most recent exposure) and I am waiting on results. I continue to have crawling skin all over slight itch fom face, back, arms, legs, groin, buttock & thighs (mostly while sitting), and sometimes on the penis itself. No blisters or lesions but I continue to deal with a daily headache that comes and goes mostly in the temple areas from one side to another. Not to mention the penis irration at the tip it doesn't burn when urinate but a few minutes before or after. I have a uro appointment next week and this is really concerning me I forgot to mention all my joints pop and crack all day (I'm 35) I know 10 weeks is early but I had to at least know where I currently stood I have heard so many mixed review about herpes that I don't know what's factual when it comes to the constant daily skin irritations and itching I have been dealing with this for well over a month now 10 weeks post condom slippage exposure can anyone comment on this please?
Thanks again Life I hope you continue to help others as much as you have helped me. You guys really make a difference in people's life.
When we speak of herpes nerve pain it almost always from Shingles (herpes zoster) that occurs in more elderly people and can quite painful.
Thanks again LIfe as you're aware I'm sure the internet can be so misleading I am very much appreciative of sites like these with actual knowledgable people. I read that a primary infection could occur with no sores at all but still have joint pain swollen nodes fever headaches and the itching. Could I ask one last question please what's your take on herpes cause nerve issues such as jollts of sharp pain, burning of the soles of feet ? There seems to be mixed information out there regarding this topic as well
1. time line is one or two weeks on average for a sore to develop.
2. no as direct rubbing contact is needed so the penis shaft if the more likely area.
3. Its possible, but most first time outbreak would be the worst and very noticible and painful.
Note that a sore would develop before any flu like symptoms
Without visual signs excuse me
Thanks for your reply Life I am unaware of her status but what really concerend me was the itching buttock and back of the legs accompanied by the flulike illness and a headache that started almost 3 weeks ago and is just now going away.
1. My questions are is my timeline off for primary exposure?
2. As a hetrosexual male would anus irration be a symptom?
3. Could I have missed a blister or lession a month or so ago and now be going through another OB with visual signs?
Thank you so much for your assistance it means the world to me!
Hi, the things your describing like the body rashes and such are not symptoms of herpes and if she did not have any genital sores at the time your risk would be close to zero from a one time affair. And as far as the flu like issues like chills, a sore would develop prior to those appearing.
Most at risk for contracting herpes are in long term mono relationships where one partner is infected.
