curious and worried

I was making out with the guy I was seeing. I didn't realise that he was touching himself and I accidently brushed his penis with my hand as  i went to fix my underwear ( I was wearing a dress). He said hes never had anything happen on his penis before and he said he found out he had hsv1 the hard way when he gave his ex ghsv1 by oral sex. Im just scared that I could have put myself at risk by this. Does anyone know if its possible?

I meant transmitting to me genitally when I fixed my underwear. I touched my vulva as i was getting my underwear fixed. I didn't even know I brushed him until he said something. He said it was his hand but Im just worried. I didn't even know he was naked. We were talking in the dark.

You are not going to get genital herpes on your hand.

I should also mention, hes never been tested. He assumes that he gave her GHSV-1.

Thanks. What i worry about is he doesn't know if he has anything genitally down there. Hes never had anything ever show up down there he said. im worried if he did have anything and could have been transmitted when i accidently brushed him.

No.  This was not a risk for you.  It is not likely he had hsv-1 genitally.  And even so, transmission by viral shedding (when there is no active outbreak) is a low chance.
