So About 3 weeks ago I had protected sex with a girl who had no symptoms. She told me her last check up was a clean slate (about three months prior which is a while). However I can probably say with confidence that this girl isn't the most modest of girls so to speak. It has now been 3 weeks and for about the past 2 weeks I think its been I have had a minor penis and scrotum itch. I went to my doctor and he told me there was no use for a test. There is no discolouration, inflammation, pimples, blisters, burning urine etc. Just a mild skin itch that my doc said is due to sweat and heat. It does tend to itch on the side of my genital where my shaft hangs.
I am wondering though if this is possibly "asymptomatic herpes" (relatively asymptomatic at least)? And that my doctor is taking my symptom too lightly?
What is the general likeliness that someone would display symptoms such as fever, blistering, ulcering, etc. and not just have asymptomatic herpes.
I have been prescribed a corticosteroid cream and it seems to be helping the itch. Would this cream help herpes too? Or would it help both herpes and a sweat rash? Does the fact that it's working mean that I am fine?
And lastly is it normal to have a sweat rash on your genital for like 2 weeks?
if this was herpes, odds are it would've gotten worse with the topical steroids.
