Lab testing question

i got tested at LabCorp and at Quest diagnostics.  they both gave results based on the 1.10 ranges.  are these tests the same?  i notice Quest specifically says Herpeselect but Labcorp doesn't.  can these be compared?  Labcorp was done first and had small positive and then later Quest had higher positive.

we don't think there is as much of a false positive issue with hsv1 as there is hsv2. we generally don't recommend further confirmatory testing for hsv1 since we know most adults do have it anyways and even our confirmatory tests are limited in their ability to detect hsv1. if you do feel the need to confirm a hsv1 low positive, we recommend the herpes WB for that purpose.

thanks for the link.  much information.

i had low positives on both tests (both below 3.5).  can i assume 100% that i have hsv1?

lab corp uses the captia test.  quest uses the herpeselect.

www.herpesdiagnosis.com has more info on each test for more reading.
