ok thank you so much for everything.
Retest to erase any doubts your having
I dont believe i was exposed to herpes or at least im not sure. I had unprotected sex about 6 months ago, but she showed no signs of herpes(at least signs that I could see).
Ive had cold sores since i was very young. I recently had one about two months ago. I thought that was what you were referring to.
Im not following you. I said post exposure which means the last time you were exposed to herpes.
By post exposure, do you mean the cold sore? Thank you for being so patient with me, I'm afraid to confide with my friends on this topic.
i particularly dont like the term equivocal. If you tested 3 months post exposure and came up with a 1.0 almost certainly your negative.
the test states that anything about a 1.10 is positive. Im super worried that the next time i test its going to jump and that I have infected other people. Forgive me if im creating anxiety here.
Actually a 1.0 is not positive if the test states that any number 1.2 and up is positive. So in all acuality your negative. Check your test to see the positive range.
may I ask how you are almost certain(I don't mean to disrespect) also dr took culture sample from my urithrol, does that help?
Retest now for hsv2 but almost certain it will be negative.
i had a cold sore on my lip about two months ago and i got tested last week.
What was the time post exposure you tested this one?
3 months from exposure from hsv 1?
Hi, if your test states that any number above 1.2 is positive then you are positive for hsv1 and 99.9999% its oral from childhood as estimated that upward of 65% of the adult population would test positive for this. Your hsv2 is in all likely hood a false positive as can cross react with hsv1 if you tested 3 months from any exposure . Do retest to confirm
