Likeliness of Herpes?

I was dating a guy with genital herpes, and we never had vaginal sex. He did, however, touch himself then finger me, and also performed oral sex on me, but I did not do so on him. He was very open about his disease and showed no visible symptoms while we together. I have not been with him for a couple weeks and so far have shown no symptoms of herpes. I was wondering how likely it is that I contracted it from fingering?

Oh, and as to him performing oral sex on you, he'd have to have oral herpes for that to be a risk. He can't transmit his genital herpes from his mouth obviously.

Mutual masturbation is safe sex. Genital herpes is considered an STD, and hence you'd have to have sex for it to be transmitted.

You can read a similar thread from Dr. Hook in the expert's forum

And, if you really want to become educated about genital herpes, read the Herpes Handbook (google it and it comes right up)
