Lump on penis need advice.

Hoping some of you could help me out. Brief background 21 days ago on vacation I end up having sex with a girl I met.  Condom broke she assured me afterwards she was clean and asked me the same. 21 days later I notice a bump on the left side of my penis it was about the size of a pin head and hard like something was under the skin. It almost looked like the normal small bumps on my penis just thus one was alittle larger and hard. I start freaking out and naturally all day examine it I attempted to pop it on three different occasions and finally before bed a small ammount of white stuff came out, liquid and blood. Now this morning it is painful and the area around it is red.  I had no other symptoms, no sore throat, fever, pain, tingling or abnormal itching,  i read somewhere that if your going to have an initial outbreak it will occur in 3 to 14 days? This happened at day 21 is this possible? I also read the first outbreak is severe and painful? I have no other symptoms. Also does this lump sound like herpes? I am freaking out and looking for any opinions .

herpes won't present at all like this. you'd have no problems popping a herpes lesion though of course the neighbors might not appreciate the screaming while you do so.

at this point since you have picked and poked at it so much, not a lot you can do. Keep your hands off of it and if it comes back or you get more, go and be seen in a timely manner.

Im sorry for spreading my posts out.  The lump is gone and It appears as usual I let my hypochondria get the best of me for the last 10 days.  My new question is this,  at day 31 since my unprotected encounter.  Is it possible to still have a classic primary outbreak at day 31?

Grace, this is my last question unless something drastic changes. I know you told me not to check but while aiming I glanced down. The scab from trying to pop the bump fell off and the small bump is still there. It has no head or blistered appearence. It showed up saturday morning and it is now thursday evening. There has really been no change since Saturday. If this was a herpe sore would it have formed a blister and ruptured by now? I apologize for being a pain.

do yourself a favor and limit yourself to once daily exams of the genital area only. No reason to add to your anxiety by doing it more often. Better yet, only give yourself permission to look more than just for aiming purposes if you have a lot of pain.

Ok an update I had my yearly check up with my doctor. I informed him of the condom break and the lump. He looked at it and said it doesn't look like herpes he said if it does not go away in two weeks to come back but said it appears to be from friction.  He did not seem to concerned about the lump. Thank you grace for putting my mind at ease!  I'm sure I will still be examining myself everyday for the next 2 months but I do feel alot better.

Thanks, I have had cold sores on my lip years ago and I remember them being very painful like a throbbing pain.  Is this the same with genital herpes ?

yes they are above the skin and they typically rupture within a few days for a newly acquired infection. with recurrences, they usually don't present in the  more classic blister form.

you have to wait at least 3 months after the last time you had sex for herpes igg blood testing to be accurate.

Thank you Grace :) You have put my mind somewhat at ease. The swelling has gone down near the site of the bump and I am def starting to calm down.  To put my mind at complete ease when would a test show the antibodies for genital herpes? As soon as possible I want to get tested for all std's.  Thanks again

usually a blisters or open sores. it won't be so hard that you can't pop it.

One more question to ease my mind alittle if someone doesn't mind answering? How does genital herpes present itself during the first outbreak?
