Dear Doctor,
I read in the STD forum that "If you do not develop herpes symptoms in 4-10 days after your exposure, you do not have herpes." My question is: does this really mean that without any genital symptoms of herpes ever (in men), genital herpes is out of question? (ie. without at least one outbreak). I haven't developed any symptoms of genital herpes so far, so I'm now wondering if I need to get tested on it even if I haven't had any symptoms in the past (only unprotected sex).
Thank you in advance!
