Sry couldn't find my post. Didn't realize I could locate it in my profile. I've added my question to there :)
it's most helpful if you just keep adding to your original post - thanks!

Unfortunately, transmission of GHSV-1 hasn't be studied as thoroughly as HSV-2. Here's what we know:
Risk of transmission of HSV-2 from an infected female to an uninfected male is about 4% per year if the couple does nothing other than avoid sex during outbreaks. Approximately double that if the male is infected and the female is not. Adding suppressive therapy reduces that risk by half, and then condoms by about another half.
What we know about GHSV-1 is that it sheds asymptomatically MUCH less frequently than GHSV-2, and has fewer outbreaks which means that the risk would be much lower than with GHSV-2.
More than 50% of the adult population has HSV-1 antibodies, whether or not they have shown symptoms. That number is obviously different depending on age range, with the oldest population having the greatest % affected.
Perhaps if you gave us more details about your situation, we could offer more pertinent details.
