Not Everything is Herpes :)

Hi all,

I just wanted to write a post saying that I've learned a lot from being on this website! Whether it was through asking questions myself, or reading posts from other people. I've over-analyzed situations, freaked out, obsessed...etc, you name it...but seriously, this is coming from someone that has been there and done that with all sorts of scares! Not everything that pops up on your body is herpes related! I'm going through nursing school, and working in a restaurant while I finish my studies. I really am learning...that not everything is herpes! :) And even if you do find out you have herpes, it's not the end of the world. In fact, you are just like half of the people that we live with in society! If ever in doubt, go to the doctor and have it checked out! I just thought I'd offer this as a bit of encouragement to you all. The more I've learned about the virus, the less I feel threatened by it :) hope this lifts some spirits!

Absolutely! I'm amazed at how many different things can mimic herpes in men and women. And having the virus is not a death sentence! All it takes is some education on the subject, and the jitters about it relax the more you know :) I know the more I learned about it, the more comfortable I am with it.
