There is no reason to follow up on this at the clinic - frankly it's a waste of your time and theirs. First off - this was not a risk for oral herpes. If anything, expect to get your boss's cold before you get anything. There is not any testing that can be done to see if you contracted hsv1 from drinking from this soda bottle either so it's a waste of time going to be seen.
Most adults have hsv1 orally - in fact 1 out of every 2-3 people you've ever kissed in a lifetime has it. Even if you can't recall any obvious cold sores yourself, you might even already have it if you've never been tested to know.

thankyou for the reply. i normally dont do stuff like that im really ashamed of myself. i did not mean to seem unkind toward my boss i am just stressing out over the situation. I hope i will be alright and am going to an open clinic on wednesday for cautionary reasons.
It's unlikely but not impossible I suppose,it's always best not to share drinking cups or do what you did mainly from a hygiene point of view Herpes doesn't live long on surfaces and more so in a cold fridge so try not to worry it .... also it might be an idea to suggest people put their names on bottles etc in fridges so that no one else touches them.
Don't be unkind about your Boss's cold sores he didn't ask to get them after all,and will be feeling pretty unwell so maybe a bit of sympathy for him wouldn't go amiss ! At the end of the day you shouldn't be drinking directly from a bottle especially when it was obvious it had been used by someone else.
