Oral Herpes Symptoms?

So here my thing, I kissed this girl last Friday (deep/french). I started to have some discomfort maybe a day after nothing like burning, itching or pain. It is more like discomfort and moves around my lips and comes and goes. Today is been a week since the episode no blisters or pain just the same discomfort. Now the inner top lip feels like cracked but I can't really see anything and again just the feeling of It and maybe a little reddish. I didn't see any sores or even dry lips on the person in question, I spoke to her 2 days later and her lips look good, nothing bad. last night I took 2MG of valtrex just to test it out and my symptoms went away immediately is this normal? I took it just in case. Again today same feeling, it seems like my symptoms come and go.  Does anything that I described sound like symptoms of oral herpes? What should I look for? Thank you guys!

Also on Wednesday or Thursday or felt my throat a little soar, down and felt like if I was getting sick but I went to the gym and everything went away.I was tested for hsv1/2 and test came back negative. Thanks once again!
