Ok guys a small update I went to a dermatologist who could not confirm I have oral herpes because I do not have open blisters but little bumps. My questions are can I have a tingling pain in my lips with these little bumps and still be negative for oral herpes? Will these little bumps eventually become open blisters? How long to wait to do the blood tests to confirm if I have it or not?
I understand but in you experience if someone doesn't have blisters but pain on lips and mouth can you still have herpes? Thanks in advance for your reply.
I don't know. This is a herpes forum. When that's out of the picture, most of us are out of our league and don't want to specluate on other possibilities.
I don't mean to bother you with questions but what else can these symptoms be other then oral herpes?
Hey I've received oral 45 days ago no kissing and he gave me oral anyway about 9 days ago noticed a cut on my lip went away now there's a scab only sore to touch but not bad been freaking out scared to kiss my wife kids it's right above my lip any ideas
Sounds like nothing important to me. I'm sure you can safely wait a day or two and see what happens. In the meantime, hands off: no squeezing or picking at the black marks or bump. That's a sure way to screw up an accurate diagnosis if you do seek professional advice.
Thanks for the speedy response. I'm also having some mild pain on my upper lip as well as these black marks on my lips and near side of my mouth. Also one little bump on my upper lip. It's not a blister but like a little bump. Should I see a doctor or is this nothing?
It could be, but probably not. And of course herpes isn't possible if your mouth wasn't exposed in the last couple of weeks by kissing or performing oral sex on someone with an active HSV infection.
