Herpetic whitlow

Excuse me, quick question.
So basically  a couple of moments ago i tore a part of my skin on tumb off, and my best friend was handing my something and our hands touched.
The thing is he has herpes and what if he touched it before he touched me, could that cause whitlow.
Its not much skin torn off,its not even blood, just a layer of skin.
Please doctors if you know, tell me what i should do now

Heroes is not transmitted by someone touching a cold sore then your hand. Not to mention whitlow is rare. It's rare for a reason. You can stop stressing
