Penis Tingling. Please Help

Hi doctor. I wanted to thank you for taking your time and for giving me your up-most opinion on what my situation might be. I am 20 years old and a male. No health insurance so i have been paying upfront every time i needed to see a doctor. About 3 months ago, i lost my virginity to a friend of mine who was tested clean. She was 17 years of age. 3 months later (almost exactly), i feel a tingling sensation in the tip of my penis that doesn't go away. I don't notice it when i am walking. It is like a tingling burning feeling. more towards the tingling rather than burning. Only while i am sitting or standing still is when i really feel it. And i feel like i need to urinate every second. I do get relief after i am finished with my urination though but it returns in minutes. I never ever had any case of redness, ulcers, cuts, blisters, discharge, etc down there since i lost my virginity. I was recently diagnosed with an internal hemorrhoid 3 weeks back and was prescribed nitroglycerin cream. It only works when i use it. If i am off of it for a few days the pain and pinching returns but to not as severe. I have been extremely nervous onto what this might be. I went and saw 2 doctors and they said it cannot be herpes type 2 because of how late this occurred and there is no physical signs at all. They checked every part of my genitals and said nothing. They even laughed and said you would know by now if you had redness or blisters from the past 3 months. I have not been sexually active and nor masturbated since the tingling began. They told me im going to be fine and i can still have a healthy family when i get older. I also had groin pain in my genital area (penis, testicles, pubic region, thigh, buttocks) for a bit but that went away on its own. i couldnt even sit from the pain but now that is gone i can relax about that and sit with just the tingling feeling. I only had sex one time and im worried that im being punished from god for what i did 3 months ago. Even though the doctor said i was going to be fine they gave me a urine sample and saw nothing. No bacteria, white puss, etc. They said im lacking water but i know that cannot be from it. Can i stop worrying about herpes because its been 3 months and i never saw any outbreaks of anything and the tingling recently began? My penis looks as healthy as it was even before i lost my virginity to her. The doctor said it should go away in a week and it did not. I recently talked to the girl i lost my virginity too and she told me she was checked multiple times after my encounter and she said she was clean and tested negative for everything. I know her pretty well. I have a meeting with a urologist next week and im hoping he or she can find some answers. Again please give me your up-most answer to what this might be. Thank-you so much for everything.

I am having the same problem. i had unprotected sex about a week ago. the day after i started feeling the "tingling" and then it stopped for a few days and now its going on worse and my leg is starting to tingle as well. the sex was unprotected i didnt even know the girl and yes I AM FREAKING OUT because i think i may have herpes. And i am only 18! Herpes would ruin my life. I got tested and i get the results back monday. If i were you i would get tested. Your local health department may test for it. i got tested for Gonnorhea, Syphillis, and Clamydia at my health department. They didnt test for herpes so i got that done with my family doctor. I am worried sick that i have it but hey who knows maybe me and you are both just anxiety freaks and thats whats causing the tingling. But i am right there with ya buddy. This will be a lesson to me to not have drunken unprotected sex ever again.

this is not the doctor's forum - you have to pay to post there.

If you don't have insurance, check with your local health department to see what your local no cost/low cost options are. Also always be sure to make sure you are being charged the no insurance/self pay price when you are seen. Some clinics don't give you the lowest price they offer unless you specifically ask for it.

was your sex protected?

could this be herpes? it could be but it sounds like something else going on.  Are you taking steps to prevent your hemorrhoid flare up by keeping your stool regular and soft with fiber supplements and stool softeners too?
