could this be herpes

okay. lets begin with this story. i had unprotected with a boyfriend back in feb. 2010. a month later i found out that he had numerous ther sex partners and told me he thought that he had herpes and even began to blame it on me. during that month where he would have contracted it we only had sex ONE time  obviously not during a breakout. i did not go get tested because i had no signs or symptoms of anything. now fast forward to almost november. on sunday i fel a bit irritated on my vaginal area i saw what seems to be sores on my labia majora there are 3 on my right side and one on my left side. very small the opening in these are about the size of a pin hole. i have no itching , burning fever or any other symptoms other than these little lessions. could this be anthing but herpes? i have gone to my gyno she said that it mght be herpes but that she has never seen herpes like this before since i have no other symptoms and they do not hurt.

i have never had an outbreak before. this was the only time ive ever had any sort of sore on my vaginal area. it happened right after someone had touched me downthere a bit rough. we did not have sex. and no i havent had any sex partners since feb. these sores were gone in about 3-4 days. so im thinking it was just an irritation

actually if this was herpes, it would've been your first obvious recurrence, not your first outbreak. recurrences don't typically last very long.

once you have all your test results, you'll have better answers.  have you had partners since feb?

it would've been helpful to have been tested for vaginitis too. if you aren't better by monday, go back for that testing too.

no she did no testing at all. just the actual little sore itself. did swab inside or anything. just took one look and said welll thats what a herpes sore looks like, but she didnt understand why it didnt hurt and why it was so small? i should have my numbers back by monday.

would herpes be on the just the outside of the vagina or the inside as well?

once you get your blood test results back, write them down so you can come back and post them for me. All I need to see are the actual numeric results - e.g. hsv1 igg 5.4 and hsv2 igg .45 or whatever they are.

so did they do any other testing of your vaginal fluids while you were there?

i went in today to get a full blood work up. she basically said this is what a herpes sore would look like " but yours are so small" i have two of them. and then she said or it might be an irriation but most likely your first outbreak....i was so confused because i thought a first initial outbreak would surely have some sort of pain associated with it.

definitely get a type specific herpes igg blood test done to see what your status is.  If this is herpes, it would be a recurrence for you so showing up on both sides would be unusual though indeed not impossible.

did you have any other testing done while you were there - like for yeast and bacterial vaginal infections?
