Herpe Scare
Exactly 7 days ago I had unprotected sex with a girl. About 2 days later I notice a very small group of bumps on the shaft of my penis. I have to stretch the skin to actually be able to see the bumps and they aren't really red nor do they hurt but you can feel them when I rub my finger across the area. About 5 days after I get slammed with a bad fever which also came with a headache. Fortunately the fever subsided the next day but I still do feel a bit off and have a slight headache today. Of course with this being my first scare I haven't thought about anything else and have lost sleep as well as my appetite over this. It's been 5 days since I first noticed the group of small bumps and I haven't really noticed any change at all. Still no pain, redness and they are so small that you really can't tell if they are filled with any type of fluid. I know posting on a forum isn't going to give me the precise diagnosis as a professional but I won't be able to visit a doctor this week and I guess I'm just asking for ease of mind. I guess my question would be is there a chance these bumps could in fact be herpes? I have studied a lot through the internet about the early symptoms and the one that scared me the most would be the fever and flu symptoms that I got slammed with.

For the most part genital lesions are painful but then again herpes sores are know as the great imitator as could look like anything but the usual would be pain and a blister types appearence with clear liquid.
Would people getting diagnosed with Herpes but having painless lesions be a common thing to your knowledge?

Hi, with unprotected sex with a person of unknown status your at risk for all std.s . Your bumps very well could be herpes but are not really consistant with them. They usually form a blister type lesion in about 4 days or so, scab over and heal. They normally dont stay the same for 2 weeks.
