Hsv2 worried

6/7/2013 unprotected encounter, brief vaginal contact, oral performed on me only. 3 weeks later lower back pain as well as very mild flu/like symptoms, had itching the very next day but i always itch anyways. The back pain remains until today 7/17 feel a bit nauseas too but could be azythromicin i took just in case. No outbreaks after 5 weeks.
Std test all negative.
Igg1 at 5 ( got it as a kid )
Igg2 at 0.2 taken after 4 weeks
I have never felt like this before wooried i got hsv2 although it shows negative but it is too early to be final.
Any ideas ?

Very nice of you to post back. The majority of people in your situation do not have herpes and your story will help those going through the same situation. Stress and anxiety, particularly if you've been a naughty boy (just a simple term, it is always more complex but you know what I mean), does create and align symptoms with your fears.

Here is my update, i tested at 17 weeks and was negative for hsv2, all my "symptoms"  are gone, the cosntant headaches, nausea, chills, lower back pain, itching all went away. Anxiety is not a good thing, guilty feelings etc after a " risky " encounter. After 3 days of receiving my results eveything went away gradually as my stress/anxiety was leaving my body. It has been 4 stressful months thinking that every " weird sensation i felt was hsv2 or something else related to it. But i have learned my lesson.

Please everyone be save !

I understand that about hsv1, i am worried about hsv2, by 7 weeks i should have sores, blisters, bumps something ! I am just worried i have never felt the things i am feeling before ( lower back pain, constant headache, nausea, itching ) is it all in my head ? Hsv2 with no " typical signs " ?

Hi, testing positive at 8 weeks for hsv1 most likely is an old infection antibody and you got it as a child. Not a big deal and most dont have any more outbreaks again. Many children contract this from sharing dribbling toys.

In the first test i was informed i have hsv1 which i had no idea, do not recall having sore in my mouth. Hsv1 > 5  could it be a new infection or there is nonway to know ?

Thanks !

i have not had any visual symptoms at 45 days after, i had itching which has reduced to almost nothing, back pain is a lot less exercise seems to help, i had testicular pain which yet away after 2 days, no bumps no blisters LOTS of anxiety, sleeping just a few hours etc etc.

My only concern is that i've had this very mild headache for almost a month but i  read it could be from anxiety it self  and lack of sleep, also i have this nauseous feeling too.

How accurate would be testing for hsv1/2 after 8 weeks ? At least a more comforting % ?

Like i said no outbreaks no visible sore nothing, from what i have read if i was gonna get an outbreak, i would have had it already right ?

12 weeks seem a looong time from now !

I hope someone responds, someone who is an expert ( Grace ;-) ) THANK YOU IN ADVANCE.

Hi Grace, quick question.
What does it mean ?

Hsv1 igm negative

Hsv1 igg  postive >5

I have read igm is flawed, i probaly got hsv1 as kid, don't recall having a cold sore ever !

Just curious what the report means !

Thank you !

I know i have to wait, two loooong months. Past two days i have been nauseous i think and hope its from the azythromicin i took 4 days ago i understand its stays in may system for a few days after taking it. I am more confident i do not have herpes but i wanna confirm it. All my symptoms may be pure anxiety since it has been really really high these past 6 weeks. I know i don't have any blisters/sores after all this time but i have read they could show up even months later or not at all so it worries me a bit. My back pain is still there but i did find a small tender mass around where my dimple is on my back it has been there for 3 weeks i know it not herpes related since i read there are not lymph nodes on the back BUT  with hsv2 you never know.  I'll just wait. Thank you Grace.

herpes back pain would've stopped by now. you also would've had obvious lesions too.  really no reason to think this is herpes. if you need peace of mind, you have to wait at least 3 months post encounter to test.

I have not had an outbreak at six weeks, no blisters, no penile discharge no red spots no bumps. I went  to a urologist he checked me and saw nothing but that was only a month after encounter. I will test again at 8 weeks.  The wait kills me. Does it sound like herpes to you ?

Hi Grace and thanks.
antibiotics were taken after my std checks, from what i read the itching does not last as long and i had the itch for six weeks now ( thighs inside mostly, scrotums, buttocks ) like i said i had that even before what anxiaty has magnify it. As my anxiaty levels are being reduce the itch has reduced as well.
The back pain seems to appear after i start moving around, when i am resting i don't feel the pain or when just get up in the morning i have no pain. I don't know if the the herpes back pain is constant or but also the pain is localized in the lower back to the left only, sometimes it kinda moves to the right side.

taking antibiotics without knowing what was causing your pain is never a good idea. it can mask what is going on and cause you to not get a  proper diagnosis for what really is going on :(

testing for herpes with blood testing a month post encounter is too early.

have you been seen and had a full exam done?  just back pain usually is not std related at all.
