Questions about Herpes.

Hello people, Ive had received unprotected sex five weeks ago. I havent had any blisters or lessions or a rash but itchiness only
1. could i of gotten infected with genital herpes?
2. when u first get infected with it do you get a o/b or any type of symptoms?
3. I have oral herpes but i havent had a cold sore on my lips. Could i just have the antibodies for it but not have the virus and i wont be able to transmit it to someone else?
4. Do you get cold sores inside the mouth? if you do, do they itch or bother you?
Thank you for taking your time and reading this. Hope to hear from someone soon. God Bless you!

ok so you were hsv1 igg +.   most adults do test + for hsv1 whether they can recall obvious cold sores or not. since you've not had any genital symptoms suspicious for herpes prior to this, odds are your hsv1 is oral.

at this point you can follow up with hsv2 igg testing at the 3 month mark if you need the peace of mind.

you don't typically get oral herpes recurrences inside the mouth. they are usually canker sores which are not related to herpes.

were you tested previously that you know you have hsv1 since you say you haven't had cold sores?

you need to wait until 3 months post encounter to get a type specific herpes igg blood test done.
