Questions about herpes tests

I just got a new boyfriend and before we start having sex I'd like him to get tested for herpes. 1. I was wondering about how much a herpes blood test costs if youre without insurance at like planned parenthood or something?
2. So if you've had a cold sore, you'll test positive for herpes #1, right? But its no big deal as long as you abstain from oral sex while you have a cold sore?
3. What do you think the chances of a white 21 yr old man who has been with 7 people having herpes #2?
Im a bit scared of stds ever since my ex gave me hpv. Havent had sex since and that was 6 months ago.

1 - it can run anywhere from $25- $150 and also depends on if they charge you for an appointment and such or not.
2 - abstaining from performing oral when you have active cold sores does go a long way in keeping your partner from contracting hsv1 from you but it's not 100% protection.
3 - at that age about 1 out of 6 or 7 adults has hsv2.
