Hi Terri,
I'm not sure if I did this correctly...the site asked me to start a new question. Here is the link to my previous interaction with you

After an extremely long ordeal with a lot of mental and physical pain, I have the results of my recent test results. These are 15.2 weeks post exposure (my calculating was a tad off, but I'm sure close enough to 16 weeks). Everything (HIV, Hep, Sphyillis) was negative...including HSV2!!!! I was so thrilled it brought me to tears!! My Dr told me that I can confidently stop testing at this point as I almost certainly would have tested positive by now.
My HSV1 number was still positive (it was 2.5 at 5 weeks) and at 15 weeks it was up to 3.0. My dr said fluctuations in these values are quite normal, and nothing to be worried about. I don't get cold sores, just a little bump on my lip from time to time that has never been swabbed. My exposure didn't involve oral at all, just vaginal sex, so should I be worried that the hsv1 is a genital infection? If this was a new infection, would I have seen the index value rise much more that just .5?
I'd greatly appreciate your final thoughts about my recent results, and also if you agree with my dr about her comments as well. You have been so unbelievably valuable and reassuring, and I am beyond thankful! Thank you so much Terri!!
