Strange Cyst with Pus and Blood at Base of Shaft?

Hi everyone,

I'm 20 years old, and I was alarmed to see that I had a red lump on the skin where the shaft of the penis meets the balls slightly to the right. It grew to something that looked purple and red, and relatively large, and looked like it could be popped. I did, and pus and blood came out. I've continued draining it for the past 3 or 4 weeks, and at this point it just looks gross. I have unprotected sex with my girlfriend, but she has tested negative for STDs. I'd just like to know what it sounds like? I tested negative for hsv-2 a little while ago.

There is no pain.
There is no itching.
Pus and blood.
Feels like a lump more below the surface of the skin, but visible from the surface.

One single lump, no more, no less. Does this sound like herpes?
