STD screening.

I recently went to the Planned Parenthood in my area and got tested.   I gave a Urine Sample, gave a finger swab for HIV, and they took a blood sample to test for Syphilis.  They told me they would call if I had anything.   I never received a call which is great, but I want to make sure I was tested for everything.   My question is was I tested for Herpes type I and type II by giving a blood sample?  And if I was, what else was I tested for by giving the blood sample?   I'd appreciate a response.   Thank you.

dont trust planned parenthood! Get all your records as evidence! i had the same problem you can read in my blog but i had been going there since 01 every time i go in each year i ask for complete testing(i work in a hospital- pre med)including herpes why since 01 they had not been testing me for what they say they were. so recently(when i came in to have my yearly pap done) i had the hsv 2 done over 3 months ago and technically this is my "frist"/only test was a low positive of 1.79 i have never had a std in my life before and still no symptoms even thought there are supposed to be over 6 years of records for hsv2 test i cant even compare any prior test results which dosent helpe me nor are they( i know more than my doctor did-so i informed her do you think they cared no). they dont do conformation testing like with the rapid asssy ny bio kit or perform a western blot. which is crazy how can you test/diagnose people if you cant read results,or even do conformation testing w "many" test etc...urgh my frustraiotn even with low false positives rates under 3.5,lack of testing EVERYTHING

As far as I know Herpes testing is not routine here in the UK and is only done on request by the patient I am unsure what is done in other parts of the World, you would have to ask your Doctor what you were tested for at Planned Parenthood, if you have any reason to think you may have been exposed to HSV at any time even if you have had no outbreaks you should ask to be tested so tht IF you do have HSV2 it can be closely monitored throughout your pregnancy in order to ensure no infectin passes to the baby during delivery as this would be extremely dangerous to a newborn.
