I haven't had sex in over 9 months, recently I have been having paculer symptoms. My lower stomach hurts like crazy, I have had some scar looking sores on my shaft that have been there for months. I've always had those scars, but they seem to have grown. Also the pain in my lower stomach comes and goes and I itch down there from time to time.

It's far more likely to be something non-std related. It would be very unusual for something to show up 9 months later to cause you pain now.  Follow up on it with your provider.

What sort of STDs would cause lower abdominal pain?

They do not test for herpes when you donate plasma. Herpes is not a blood borne infection so there's no reason to do so. When you donate they give you the list of what they test for to read over. Ever read it?

Thanks for the response Grace. I've heard that lower stomach pain around the lymph nodes, which is what I meant, can be a caused by an std. I'm doubtful it is herpes because the scar/ bumps don't go away and for the other stds I regularly give plasma so I doubt that they would let me give if I had one. The only thing that puzzles me is the pain in my lower lymph nodes and a bright red spot on the head of my penis. I have lived witht his for a couple of months and have gotten used to it, but I still worry.

Stomach pain is not due to herpes.

Scars that have always been there, are also not a sign of herpes.

None of this is a reason to suspect a std at all actually. Follow up on it with your provider for proper evaluation.
