I am a 32 year old happily married male and have been monogamous with my wife for 10 years. My last sexual partner before my wife was around 12 years ago. Around a month ago I developed 2 red, slightly sore areas 5-8mm underneath my foreskin near to the head of my penis. These were linear in shape, and follow the folds of skin and I thought they were abrasions. They both healed up after about 10 days and I had unprotected sex (vaginal and oral (rec)) with my wife soon after. My penis felt a little sore in these areas during sex. The following day, one of the sore areas had blistered. The blister soon burst and left an open sore which is linear and follows the creases in the skin. This sore has now begun to discharge - a white/yellow non smelly discharge just like you'd get with an infected cut anywhere on your skin. The area isn't sore unless I retract the the foreskin and the area is stretched. After searching around the web, I'm thinking this is possibly a herpes infection. My wife has never had any problems and has never had cold sores, although she was found to be a group B strep carrier when she had our latest child 6 months ago. Is it possible for Herpes to be dormant in me for such a long time? I know I should go to a GUM clinic but can't get any time off work at the moment.
Cheers, Chris
