Small pimple on upper inner thigh? Could it be OB

Dear Grace,

Hello!! I am diagnosed with herpes type 2 in november. I had 2 OB'S before and stopped when I start using  valtrex for 4 months as suppresive treatment.

3 or 4 weeks ago I notice one small bump look like pimple on my upper inner thigh close to labia majora. I applied acyclovir cream for couple of day nothing get smaller or bigger. I take 1000 mg Valtrex for 1 weeks still nothing happened. I don't have any sypmtoms or prodromes. I touch the bump several times and no feeling no pain nothing at all ( I thought maybe valtrex stoping the sypmtoms of an OB).

I had a cryptic on my tonsil and I am using antibiotics for that. The cryptic tonsil healed and nothing now. (First I thought it was because of herpes but I do not think its related)

The pimple is still there, it look like little redish, look like a small acne or pimple but its been 1 month almost and nothing has change.

Could it be blister of an OB's? My doctor didn't understand if its ob or not he said it doesnt look like it but he is not sure. He just gave acyclovir cream and said me use the valtrex. But I did everything what he said still nothing.:( It doesn't bother me as physical but if its OB so I have to be careful because my partner doesnt have herpes.

I wouldn't apply anything to this at this point. if your regular doctor is stumped and it isn't going away on its own, see a dermatologist.

it's easiest for me when you just keep adding new concerns to your original post. thanks!

this doesn't sound at all like herpes.

fyi acyclovir cream doesn't do anything for genital herpes either. we no longer recommend its use on recurrences in the genital area.
