Strep throat or herpes?

So yesterday I went to the clinic to get tested for strep throat. The test came back neg but I was still prescribed amoxicillin. The pus started at just one of my tonsils now both of my tonsils have pus on them. On top of that, I have what looks to be a canker sore or herpes on the tip of my tongue. Doesn't hurt too much. 4 months ago I did get blood work for both hsv1 and 2 and my results were negative. I really wish I could attach pictures.... all this happened a day after giving oral
