Could I have given my BF herpes?

Had unprotected sex with my boyfriend( on and off for 10yrs) in May, after sex noticed a slight change in vag odor that went away a few days after,Chalked it up to him ejaculating inside of me and changing my vag ph. I didn't think much of  it because the odor didn't linger… Saw my BF last week (we only see each other once a month because we live far apart) again had unprotected sex, after my vagina felt a little sore I also had cottage cheese like discharge and felt like I had small cuts between the folds where my thighs and vag meet... okay, thought  maybe we were a little too rough and yeast infection..  a few days later noticed I had a few (4/5)small flesh colored bumps that were uncomfortable. I've had 2 yeast infections in the past (maybe4/5 yrs. ago, with the same partner) with bumps/sores like this Dr's tested me for Herpes 3x and test were negative. So treated the bumps with OC yeast cream until my Dr. appointment. The bumps went away in 2 days. What's different this time is my BF has also gotten a rash on his penis, to my knowledge this has never happened to him before. Could I have been given incorrect Herpes test results and infected my BF? Can a guy get a yeast infection from sex? Would it result in a rash? Looking for some insight until my Dr's appointment

To be clear.... my herpes test were done years ago( maybe 4/5yrs) at different times because at the time of my first 2 yeast infection Dr's weren't unsure if it was an STD or yeast. My test then were negative. My last STD testing was a year ago. I did not test for Herpes then because I didn't have an out break, I wasnt sexually active for 2 years and my last test were negative.

Thanks for all your help guys!

Hi, yes your B/F could contract a yeast infection from you as his skins pH can also change. Rashes can appear from yeast as well as cuts and sores as are fungal related and causes irritations. Natural body flora grows out of control. Since youve tested negative for herpes, it might be a good idea for him to test as well. Many many people have hsv1 oral and dont know it as was contracted at childhood and are asymptomatic but viral shedding does occur. We are finding more and more cases of genital hsv1 appearing from oral sex. Just a thought.
