no reason to think that this is herpes.
your anxiety over the encounter is worse than any risk you ever had from it!! Keep yourself busy, stop checking out your nether regions and if you still have pain tomorrow, follow up at the clinic.
Hi sorry to bother you again Life360 and Grace but I just have one more question. While the spot at the base of my shaft disappeared within hours (think I might have been seeing things) a small red bump has appeared in my pubic hair near the top of my groin crease. Could this be an initial outbreak paired with headache and groin and testicular pain? I'm really quite terrified now and was wondering if I should go to the walk-in now to get this looked at or wait until my appointment at the clinic Monday? Thanks for everything.
Thank you so much! You and Grace are amazing and I really appreciate the time you guys take to answer everyone's questions! I hopefully can make myself relax now! Thanks again!
Grace is 100% correct, contracting herpes, using a condom where she did not have any genital sores at the time from a one time affair would be close to zero risk.
Myself being male can suggest that your testicle pain could be the result of the act itself (banging it) or from your constant checking and touching the area. Bottom line is since you used a condom sts like gono, chlamydia and herpes could not get into your urethra and travel to your testicle.
When a person does have infections from the unprotected oral sex, its often a simple uti as bacteria common in the mouth are not common in the urethra and even at that youd have a penis infection discharge in about 5 days post exposure.
Thank you so much Grace! My testicle pain seems to be getting worse though and I now have lower to mid back pain as well (started this morning). I'm really sorry to reiterate a lot in this question but does that sound like anything to do with any std? Or do you think it's mostly psychogenic from anxiety and guilt for making a mistake?
we recommend protected sex for a reason - it works! though it's not 100% protection against herpes, it's still good protection. The odds that you contracted hsv2 from this encounter are very low. we don't even recommend testing unless you have a regular partner to protect.
do your symptoms sound like herpes? no they do not.
