About to be diagnosed
Hello,
I am a female and about 2 weeks ago on May 11, I received unprotected oral sex from a male I've been seeing for almost a year (he said he tested clean in Feb, but everyone says they are clean). I got tested for all STDs including herpes 1 and 2 in April and they came back negative (i know I screwed up when I was all clear).
I've been concerned about having HSV since the unprotected incident. Actually not concerned, pretty sure I have it.
1. Around May 14, there was a small paper cut on the bottom of my clitoris. I wiped the little blood and that was the end of that. I also saw 2 blood red flat painless round marks at the bottom of my vagina, but I was applying vingegar near that area the previous day checking for warts. However, in hindsight those were probably from herpes as well. Then I got a whitehead on my inner thigh and stomach that I assumed were herpes so covered them with a bandaid and left them alone. I now assume this was my first outbreak because then I started to experience podrome symptoms.
2. May 17, my clitoris started itching (abnormal) and then my period came on. May 19 to 23 I experienced vaginal and anal burning feeling. No pain while urinating, just mild burn in that area. During this period I took 3 baths to sooth the burning.
3. May 23 to 29, I've been experiencing nerve pains and some itching on the back of thighs, vaginal area, back, neck and face. I've been terrified that I spread it to my face, lip, neck and back during the baths. My upper lip has been itching for a few days in the same area. I also seem to have extra discharge and a gland in my groin is sore.
4. May 29, there is a small sore on the opening of my anus. I'm certain this is the start of a more serious outbreak.
I probably should have went to the doctor earlier, but I'm going to try my hardest to be seen tomorrow to get it swabbed. I swabbed it myself and put it in a bag but I don't know if this will be accepted. It already looks like it is healing, but it is still sore. I'm fairly certain more sores and/ or bumps will arise soon. Im terrified and devastated. I know I have herpes and I'm not dealing with it well at all. I've known for 2 weeks, but I'm about to get the official diagnosis and I'm not ready.
I'm hoping that I at least didn't spread it to my lip and face while I was bathing. I did wipe my face with a wash cloth that was in the bath water I was sitting in. I hadn't wiped any other place and to my knowledge there were no lesions or bumps at that time, but the nerve pain, burning and itching I started to experience everywhere makes me think I did spread it.
My behavior was so stupid I feel like I deserve this, but it's really happening and I am overwhelmed. Before the unprotected encounter, I was experiencing other symptoms pain in inner cheeks, neuropathy and chest pains so I've been trying to find out what this other mystery illness is and then I go and do this. I feel like my immune system was already weak and I just screwed myself even worse because the neuropathy was better but now it is worse. I don't think I'll ever forgive myself, which is one reason this is so hard.
Oh well...tis my life now I suppose. Please wish me luck as I am for sure wishing everyone else luck. I know we are all here because we have experienced this. However, I am positive I now have genital herpes. I'm praying I didn't autoinaculate to other areas and that I make it through this some how.
Let others know...be safe with everything they do. We know it's not worth it but in the moment we don't fully realize the severity of what we're giving up. It is best to just avoid the situation all together if possible.

Okay, my swab tests came back negative for everything (tested everything except Hep and HIV). So, I'll have to wait to test at a later date (hope and pray in the mean time).

Well, my GYN didn't see anything (thought the wound on my bum was a Fissure), but he ordered blood and swab tests.
Nurse called yesterday said everything came back "normal." However, she called back today, but I missed her call :( I'm pretty sure the swab test came back positive so yeah...I figured as much *sigh*.

They usually call with the results to ALL the test results. If your doctor said you're fine, then you're likely fine. Let us know your outcome from the nurse. It's probably to schedule a follow up, billing, or possible retest if an error was made.

I truly hope she called for one of the reasons you mentioned, but I have serious doubts. I'm still having weird sensations, my nether region just doesn't feel quite right.

This seems to be an active community here. I teeter totter as a near expert for others and hypochondriac for myself lol. There's a lot of knowledgeable and patient people here. I know I've probably tested their limits.

That's not true. Your symotoms can be many things. What you describe doesn't exactly fit with a new hsv infection. If course it could be but i have some reservations.
