The burning and tingling and Vitamin deficiency

I wanted to know if the burning and tingling is concentrated to the point where the blisters will appear or if is it like burning and tingling can happen on the entire lip border and spots appear at random.

Also, my Vitamin D is v deficient, maybe because of that I am not developing proper cold sores in my first outbreak and it is just a red spot that appears.

I am sorry for another question in a couple of weeks but in a panic state right now

I'm also very vit D deficient. It doesn't prevent outbreaks, I assure you. If anything, not being as healthy as you can be would cause more outbreaks.

There is some thinking that  vit D deficiency can cause burning mouth symptoms. Are you being treated for it? Taking a supplement?

I'm not sure why you're panicking. I know no one wants herpes, but hsv1 is such a common virus. It's just not that big of a deal, and if only 20% of people in India have it, that means the person you kissed has an 80% chance of NOT having it.

Yes Jessi, I agree, I would rather concentrate on other things for the next month before I get tested then.

I have been having burning inside my cheeks in my mouth as well (for a year maybe) so burning mouth syndrome does make sense.

Odds are I am negative and I hope that is the case. It is just that a couple of docs saw it and said it is herpes and were so cold towards me at that time. That scenario is running on repeat in my head.

May go visit my therapist this weekend too

You all are lovely people. Thanks for the help <3
"...were so cold towards me at that time"

Maybe they're just not nice people? Are you associating their coldness as a response to herpes? They're doctors. They treat a lot of people with herpes. It's a virus. It's not a moral statement.

You might feel that it's a moral statement. Doctors don't. 3.7 BILLION people worldwide have hsv1. Little children get it. It's not some kind of moral statement or punishment - no illness is.

I think seeing your therapist is a wonderful idea, sincerely. :)
Oh and if you've been having symptoms for a year, it's not associated with the kiss you had a few weeks ago.
oh nah, it is just the burning inside the cheeks that has been happening for a long time.

The lip-burning, tingling, painless red spots on lower lips, Fordyce spots out of nowhere and all started a few days after the kiss.

Yup, going to send my therapist to a therapist with my silly little questions until I get tested
It could all be related - perhaps vitamin D, a food allergy, etc - something that is getting worse.

Perhaps even anxiety.

Definitely talk it over with your counselor, along with coping mechanisms. It's important that you have some way of handling the anxiety and panic that you're feeling.
Yup, went for a revisit to my derma after the blood tests came back (Vitamin and others not HSV), she is pretty confident this isn't Herpes as -

"First initial outbreak must be painful and not just a few red spots INSIDE the lips that heal within 1-2 days. Burning tingling is mostly associated with recurrent outbreaks and is pretty constant not just for a few minutes once or twice a day."

She has even said there is no need to test, however, I will take one at 12 weeks and update everyone.
I agree with her.

Thanks for helping out and answering questions, by the way. Always appreciated!! :)
Agree with her on the testing front too?

I am going to be answering other people's queries (Have researched and gained too many insights on it from doctors as well) regardless if I have it or not
Yep, agree with her on the testing front, too.

I'm happy to have you here. Answer as many or as few as you want. It's all appreciated. :)
Damn, didn't expect that

I had sun exposure yesterday severe sun exposure and got extremely chapped lips (dry lips with red lines). I don't think herpes causes chapped lips.

I am ready to move on with my life and put this trauma in the past but if I was to get tested IGG and IGM what week is the earliest that will give me a decent indication?
Okay, well, you know the IgM is a terrible test, right? Don't do that one.

The IgG is about 70% accurate at 6 weeks, and conclusive at 12 weeks.

You got a sunburn. That doesn't mean anything. Do you use sunscreen on your lips? You should.

Remember that you just kissed someone in the club. We've already covered all of this. You're reaction is way out of proportion to the risk here.
I actually got her number from somewhere and texted her if she has anything. Got the "I am clean" response.

I agree I am over reacting but it is coming from a combination of the first doctor's diagnosis of Herpes Labialis and me not having sores but just random burning and tingling.

You will only hear from me next after a test. God bless you aunt jessi
Actually, random burning and tingling is not a symptom of herpes.

I do hope you stop in and answer some questions, but only if that doesn't contribute to your anxiety. Take care of you. :)
